Tell me how it feels to be loved by me

I wrote this one night in November. I couldn't fall asleep and so I started listening to some music. Loved by You by an artist named Kirby came on, and I was inspired to write this: 

how does it feel 

to be loved by me? 

does it feel warm?

soft?

does your spirit feel 

comforted 

to know that you're 

not alone? 

how does it feel 

to be held by me? 

does it feel assuring?

does your soul feel

secure

to know that 

I won't leave you? 

tell me,

how does it feel?

I ask because 

I don't know

how it feels 

to be loved

by me. 

I ask because 

even as I feel 

that I'm missing love

from the world, 

I feel more that I'm missing 

love from myself.

tell me,

how does it feel

to be caressed by me? 

how does it feel

to be kissed by me?

does it feel gentle?

does your body feel 

at ease 

to know that it has me

to lean on?

tell me how

it feels 

when I wipe away

your tears

tell me how 

it feels 

to have my fingers

interlace with yours 

when you feel alone. 

tell me how 

it feels 

to be loved

by me.
